Mystery Snail (Apple)

A "mystery snail" is a common name for the Gold Inca Snail (Pomacea bridgesii), a popular freshwater aquarium snail valued for its colorful shells and ability to clean algae and detritus from tanks. These peaceful, invertebrate scavengers require hard water with high mineral content, a stable temperature, and a pH of 7.2 or higher to maintain shell health. They are known for their intriguing behavior, including coming to the surface to breathe, and can be housed with community fish in an aquarium of 3-5 gallons or larger.
