The Strawberry Rasbora is one of the smallest and most charming nano fish available in the aquarium hobby. Named for its vibrant strawberry-red coloration, this tiny species brings remarkable color and activity to planted aquariums despite reaching only about 2 cm in length. When kept in large groups, Strawberry Rasboras form dazzling schools that shimmer like floating rubies among aquatic plants. Their peaceful nature and small size make them an excellent choice for nano aquariums, blackwater biotopes, and shrimp-friendly community tanks.
Native to the tannin-rich waters of Thailand, they thrive in heavily planted aquariums with gentle flow and stable water conditions. Their vivid colors become most intense when housed in groups and provided with a natural environment rich in plants and cover.
